Marvel-loving families, assemble! A new crop of heroes, who have secretly been living on earth for thousands of years, are arriving in the third film of the MCU’s Phase Four. The movie, directed by Chloé Zhao, stars an ensemble cast, including Angelina Jolie, Gemma Chan, Richard Madden, Kumail Nanjiani, Salma Hayek and Kit Harington. “We’re Eternals,” Chan’s character Sersi says in the trailer. “We came here 7,000 years ago to protect humans from the Deviants.” Per Marvel, “An unexpected tragedy forces them out of the shadows to reunite against mankind’s most ancient enemy, the Deviants.”

Clifford the Big Red Dog

Release Date: Nov. 10
How to watch: In theaters and on Paramount+

Clifford the Big Red Dog is hitting the big screen this fall. The movie, based on Norman Bridwell‘s beloved children’s book character, tells the story of middle-schooler Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp), who got her red pup from a magical animal rescuer (John Cleese). When Emily asks how big he will get, Cleese’s character replies it depends, “on how much you love him.” The movie’s official website notes, “Clifford will teach the world how to love big!”

Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Release Date: Nov. 19
How to watch: Only in theaters

There’s a new generation of ghostbusters! The next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe sees single mom Callie (Carrie Coon) move her children, played by Stranger Things‘ Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace, to a small town where they “begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.” The film stars Paul Rudd as well as original Ghostbusters actress Annie Potts. The official trailer also teased the return of Dan Aykroyd‘s character Ray Stantz, who is heard answering a phone saying, “We’re closed.”

Encanto

Release Date: Nov. 24
How to watch: In theaters

The Madrigals are an “extraordinary family” who live in “a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto.” Every child in the family has a “unique gift,” except for Mirabel. “Gift or no gift, I am just as special as the rest of my family,” she declares in the trailer. Although Mirabel is ordinary, she might just be her family’s only hope when the magic surrounding Encanto is in danger. The Walt Disney Animation Studios film is set in Colombia and features all-new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

How to watch: In theaters

Buster Moon (voiced by Matthew McConaughey) is back and wants to launch a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in Redshore City. Buster promises “egocentric gangster” Mr. Crystal that it will star lion rock legend Clay Calloway (Bono). However, Buster doesn’t know the now-reclusive rockstar. “Desperate to save the show, and his life, Buster embarks on a quest to find Clay and persuade him to return to the stage,” according to Universal Pictures. “What begins as a dream of big-time success becomes an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal even the most broken heart.”
