Mamador rewards athletes with N6.5m

Mamador yesterday rewarded the Olympic and Paralympic teams of the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with N6.5million cash.

The medalists were given cheques presented by the Finance Director Mamador Group, Amra Kuma. While the of cheque of N1.5million was handed to the olympic team, Ese Brume, an athlete and Blessing Oborududu, a wrestler, N5million was given to the Paralympic team for their outstanding performances at games.

The cheque was collected by their representatives at the event was held in Lagos by the management of Mamador Group.

Speaking on the occasion, the Managing Director Mamador Group, Ipsit Charkrabarti expressed delight over the event because of the special people he said have made Nigeria proud. He also congratulated the stars on behalf of PZ Wilmar.

“Mamador as a brand have been able to celebrate womanhood and the culinary strength of Nigeria cuisines for many years. Now it is time for us to express our honor and pride to celebrating the sport stars,” he said.

Head of Marketing Mamador Group, Chioma Mbanudu, said sport has played a unifying role for the human society as it involved basic life skills such as discipline, goal setting, leadership, among others which is why Mamador Group is in full support of it.

“One of the core values of our brand, Mamador is really supporting and empowering people to chase their dreams and live life outside of routine and to just experience life in the way they want to, and Mamador has consistently showed its commitment to this course, particularly for the women,” she said.
