JUST IN : Lagos PDP Gets Evicted Over Unpaid Rent

The executive members and staff at the Lagos chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were yesterday reportedly evicted from the secretariat over unpaid rent.

The eviction, it was learnt, followed a court judgement effected by the owner of the property along Adekunle Fajuyi Road in Ikeja GRA.

Armed policemen and court bailiffs were said to have stormed the secretariat to carry out the eviction. The eviction, it was learnt, lasted over two hours.

However, PDP spokesman Taofik Gani, in a statement, said he could not confirm the development because he was outside the state but noted that it would be condemnable if that actually happened.

But he confirmed that the party has an issue with the payment of rent and it was being sorted out.
