The Confederation of Africa Football popularly known as CAF has released the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which was held in Cameroon.
The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations started in January, and many African countries participated it in the tournament which came to an end on Sunday the 6th of February 2022.
Senegal national team defeated the Pharaohs of Egypt 4-3 on penalty shout-out on Sunday to win the trophy for the first time in the Nation’s history.
CAF released the team of the tournament via their verified Twitter handle on Monday evening, and Senegal national team players dominated the list, as four of their players made the first eleven, and the players are Chelsea football club goalkeeper Edouard Mendy, Leicester City’s Nampalys Mendy, Nancy FC defender Saliou Ciss and Liverpool football club star Sadio Mane.
The Pharaohs of Egypt also have three players in the list and the players are; Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny and Future FC defender Mohamed Abdelmonem.
The other players are Achraf Hakimi of Morocco, Edmond Tapsoba and Ibrahim Blati Toure of Burkina Faso, and Vincent Aboubakar of Cameroon.
