A famous Hausa singer and film actor, Naziru Ahmad Sarkin Waka, has given out N2million to a Kannywood actress, Ladin Chima, popularly known in the industry as Mama Tambaya, to start a business and solve some of her problems.
The singer revealed this in a six-minute video he posted on Facebook on Sunday.
This was coming at the heels of the heated debates that rocked the film industry after the veteran made some shattering revelations.
Ladin Chima had appeared on the BBC Hausa’s 8-minute’s celebrity-profiled programme titled, “Daga Bakin Mai Ita” which literary means “from the horse’s mouth,” and claimed that she was only paid a meagre amount ranging from N2000 to N5000 in every movie she featured in and that despite her experience and age-long expertise, there was never a time that she was paid N50,000 or something there about in any of the movie she featured in as an actress.
However, the retired Hospital matron’s revelation has triggered a serious debate, accusation and counter-accusation within and outside Kannywood.
The singer also offered N1m to another actress, Fati Slow, who had posted a video analyzing the scenario of the veteran actress’ comment and the subsequent exchange of words between principal actors in Kannywood.
It was also gathered that the singer’s monetary offer to the two actresses is currently generating another serious debate on social media.
