Speaking on Wednesday, UN chief Antonio Guterres warned that “the world is facing a moment of peril” and it was ‘a moment I truly hoped wouldn’t come’
António Guterres, speaking at the organisation’s headquarters in New York in a UN’s General Assembly meeting to discuss Ukraine said the meeting is happening “in the face of the most serious global peace and security crisis in recent years, and certainly in my time as secretary general”.
