One day after armed robbers raided four banks in Uromi, headquarters of Esan North-East Local government Area of Edo State, carting away huge sums of money in sacks, a total of N35 million has been recovered.

Bello Kotongs, Police Public relations Officer in Edo, confirmed this to Daily Trust on Friday night.

He said the money was currently in custody of the police.

Daily Trust had reported how the armed gang broke into Zenith, UBA, First and Union Banks in the community, gunning down seven person, including two security personnel.
