Rebecca King-Crews, wife of Hollywood actor Terry Crews, has publicly shared her battle with Parkinson’s disease.
The 60-year-old revealed her condition during an appearance on the Today Show, disclosing that she was diagnosed 11 years ago.
According to her, the first signs appeared around 2012, starting with numbness in her foot, which later developed into a limp.
She said it took years before she got a proper diagnosis, after earlier symptoms like tremors were initially dismissed.
Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurological condition that affects movement, often causing tremors, stiffness, and fatigue.
Despite the challenges, Rebecca shared a positive update about her health following a recent non-invasive procedure that uses sound waves targeted at the brain.
“I feel good. I’m able to write my name and my dates… I can write with my right hand for the first time in probably three years,” she said.
Her husband, Terry Crews, also spoke about standing by her through the journey.
“When they say ‘in sickness and in health,’ this is the battle we were designed to fight together,” he said.
The couple, who have been married since 1989, share five children.
Rebecca had previously battled breast cancer in 2020, undergoing a double mastectomy.
Her story has drawn support online, with many praising her strength and openness about living with a long-term condition.
