Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has addressed her current status months after separating from her estranged husband, Nigerian music star 2Baba.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, Annie clarified that she does not see herself as a single mother. Instead, she described herself as a single woman raising two children.
“I’m not a single mom. I’m a single woman raising two kids,” she wrote.
Her comment comes after 2Baba announced in January 2025 that they had parted ways and that divorce proceedings had begun, noting at the time that their marriage had faced longstanding challenges.
Shortly after making the separation public, the singer introduced Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru as his new partner, sparking widespread reactions online.
Following the announcement, Annie briefly removed the surname “Idibia” from her social media profiles before later restoring it.
The former couple, who married in 2012, share two daughters, Isabella and Olivia. Over the course of their 13-year relationship, their union frequently drew public attention due to its well-publicised highs and lows.
