
Henrietta Bulabari of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Khana II State House of Assembly Constituency bye-election in Rivers State.
According to reports, Bulabari polled 7,647 votes, outperforming candidates from other political parties in the contest.
The Returning Officer, Prof. Angela Briggs, officially declared her the winner, stating that she fulfilled all constitutional requirements. “Having satisfied the requirements of the law,” Briggs said while confirming the APC candidate as duly elected.
The final results announced showed the following scores:
- AA – 46
- APC – 7,647
- NNPP – 37
- YPP – 23
- ZLP – 47
Out of 71,914 registered voters, 7,834 were accredited to vote. A total of 7,800 valid votes were recorded, with 34 ballots rejected.
Party representatives were present during the collation and declaration of results.
Speaking after her victory, Bulabari expressed happiness over the outcome, describing the election as free, fair, peaceful, and well-organised.
The lawmaker-elect pledged to focus on the welfare of her constituents, promising to implement meaningful projects throughout the constituency. She assured residents of Khana II that her tenure would be dedicated to delivering democratic dividends and addressing their most urgent concerns.
