
Nigerian music star Asake has further cemented his place in Afrobeats history by extending his record as the artiste with the highest number of entries on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs chart.
The Mr. Money hitmaker has now reached a landmark 60 chart entries, following the rise of his collaborative track with Wizkid, “Jogodo,” which climbed to a peak position of number four this week.
Meanwhile, South African sensation Tyla continues to dominate the chart, with her song “Channel” holding steady at number one. Tyla was recently crowned the top Afrobeats artiste of 2025, adding to her growing list of achievements.
Her breakout hit “Water” previously set the record for the longest-running number-one song on the chart, spending an impressive 55 weeks at the summit.
In related chart news, Nigerian superstar Burna Boy secured his first-ever top 20 entry on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, thanks to his appearance on Gunna’s track “WGFT.” The song climbed to a new peak of number 16 after the release of a remix featuring Chris Brown.
With this achievement, Burna Boy has become the first African artiste to debut a song on the Billboard Hot 100 in five consecutive years, spanning from 2021 to 2025.
