
American rapper, Offset, has been hospitalized after being sh0t in Florida.
The former member of Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was sh0t on Monday evening, April 6, near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, just outside Miami.
A spokesperson for the 34-year-old Migos founder confirmed that the musician was “sh0t and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” adding that “he is stable and being closely monitored.”
“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” the rep wrote in a statement. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”
The Seminole Police Department confirmed in a statement that the office is “aware of an incident that occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m. Monday outside of Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”
The statement continued: “Seminole Police were on site immediately, and the situation was contained quickly. Two individuals have been detained by police.”
While the investigation into the incident is “ongoing,” according to police, “The site is secure, and there is no threat to the public. Operations continue as normal.”
The details surrounding the shooting remain unknown.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, rose to fame as a member of the Grammy-nominated hip-hop group Migos, which originated in metro Atlanta. He was married to rapper Cardi B and shares three children with her.
