Bruno Fernandes Matches Cristiano Ronaldo’s Record as Mikel Arteta Clinches Manager of the Month

Bruno Fernandes has been named EA SPORTS Premier League Player of the Month for March, equalling Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of six career wins.

The Manchester United captain delivered an outstanding performance, recording two goals and four assists in just four league matches. He now sits one award behind the all-time record jointly held by Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, and Mohamed Salah.

Fernandes was instrumental throughout the month—scoring and assisting in a win over Crystal Palace, providing another assist against Newcastle United, registering two assists versus Aston Villa, and converting a penalty in a draw with AFC Bournemouth.

His tally of 16 league assists this season also saw him surpass David Beckham’s long-standing Manchester United record of 15 set during the 1999–2000 campaign. He is now closing in on the Premier League single-season assist record of 20, set by Thierry Henry and later matched by Kevin De Bruyne.

Fernandes’ latest recognition is his first since March 2025 and continues his impressive legacy in the league.

Meanwhile, Mikel Arteta has been named Barclays Manager of the Month after guiding Arsenal to a perfect run in March.

The Gunners secured victories over Chelsea, Brighton & Hove Albion, and Everton, becoming the only team to win all their matches during the month and opening a nine-point lead over Manchester City in the title race.

It marks Arteta’s eighth Manager of the Month award, drawing him level with Martin O’Neill and Harry Redknapp, and placing him two behind Jurgen Klopp.

Since taking charge in December 2019, Arteta has now accumulated more monthly awards than any other manager, ahead of Nuno Espirito Santo and Pep Guardiola.

A standout moment came in Arsenal’s win over Everton, when 16-year-old Max Dowman made a dramatic impact—forcing the opening goal in the 89th minute before scoring in stoppage time to become the Premier League’s youngest-ever goalscorer.

Arteta edged out competition from Eddie Howe, Fabian Hurzeler, Regis Le Bris, and David Moyes following combined votes from fans and experts.
