A bill to bar under 15s from social media has been stopped by a court in France.

France’s top constitutional authority has struck down a bill that sought to prohibit children under the age of 15 from using social media, ruling that the proposed restrictions disproportionately infringe upon freedom of expression. The court determined that the draft law was overly broad and failed to consider either the individual situation of each minor or the varying levels of risk across different digital services. Judges also highlighted serious privacy concerns, pointing out that enforcing such a measure would force all users including adults to verify their identity online. In its decision, the court acknowledged the legitimate objective of protecting young people online, but noted: "the draft bill infringes freedom of expression and communication in a manner that is not appr...

Aghasedo described sex toys as an equipment that helps couples ‘perform the conjugal business up to 90 percent’. Addressing his congregation, the clergyman compared sex toys to phones and cars that help its owners in their respective functions. He said: “Is using a sex toy a sin? Is driving a car a sin? A car to drive you from here to Dallas, is it a sin? Using the phone, is it a sin? I have never used a sex toy. Let me just say. But in this modern day of technology, it’s an equipment. It can help you do the job to 90%, and you finish the remaining 10%. I’m just being real. It can help you.” Aghasedo insisted that sex toys should only be used by married couples. ...
