Google says it has expanded language support for its Artificial Intelligence-powered search features to include Yorùbá and Hausa Languages in Nigeria. Communications and Public Affairs Manager, West Africa, Google, Taiwo Kola-Ogunlade, said this in a statement on Thursday. He said the update allowed speakers of the two Nigerian languages to access AI-powered search experiences in their mother tongue for quick summaries and conversational exploration. The Federal Government through the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, on Tuesday announced the immediate suspension of all pilgrimages to Israel due to the security situation in the Middle East. The Executive Secretary of the Commission, Stephen Adegbite, made the disclosure in Lagos during a press briefing shortly after 500 pilgrims landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport from the 2025 Main Pilgrimage exercise. The pilgrimage exercise began December 29, 2025, with the inaugural flight departing from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
