Funeral service of ten family members who d!ed in motor accident set to be held in Imo State

A family has announced the funeral of ten members who lost their lives in a motor accident while returning from Christmas celebrations  The victims, Chidi Ejimnkeonye, a Nigeria Customs Service officer, his wife, Ijeoma, their four children, and four other relatives, were involved in the accident along the Loko-Nasarawa road. NUC to sanction universities over ‘indiscriminate conferment’ of honorary doctorate degrees

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has issued fresh guidelines regulating the award and use of honorary doctorate degrees in Nigeria, citing growing concerns over indiscriminate conferment and misuse of such honours. The acting Inspector-General of Police, Tunji Disu, assumed duty on Wednesday. This followed his decoration by President Bola Tinubu earlier in the day.
