Operatives of the police command in Katsina State have intercepted a Golf vehicle carrying a large cache of highly explosive materials at a checkpoint in Koza, Daura local government area. The spokesperson of the command, DSP Abubakar Aliyu, disclosed this to newsmen, on Tuesday,  January 13. According to Aliyu “On Jan. 7, while on an intelligence-led stop and search, a team of policemen succeeded in intercepting a Golf vehicle driven by one Jamilu Musa, aged 40. The Nigerian Education Loan Fund, NELFUND, says it has disbursed N161.9 billion to 864,798 students nationwide since the launch of its student loan portal, as part of efforts to expand access to tertiary education. The Managing Director of NELFUND, Akintunde Sawyerr, said this at a news conference in Abuja on Tuesday, while briefing journalists on the progress, impact and challenges of the scheme.
