Anambra State Government has arrested a popular Nnewi-based native doctor, De Young Chief Priest — known as “Aka Mmuo Mmiri Afulu Anya”, for alleged illegal practices. Security operatives arrested the suspect on Thursday, March 12, 2026. His arrest followed the crackdown on traditionalists and native doctors suspected of preparing charms for criminals in the state. According to the Anambra State Broadcasting Service (ABS), the suspect is currently being interrogated by authorities.  The government is yet to release full details of the allegations against the native doctor.

Nabo Graham Douglas Campus of the Nigerian Law School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State The Council of Legal Education has released a list of 114 universities authorised to run law programmes in Nigeria. SNOW TV NEWS reports that in a circular issued on Friday, March 13, the council stated that only the listed institutions are permitted to admit students into the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programme in the country. The circular was signed by the council’s Secretary and Director of Administration, Aderonke Osho. Justice Bamidele Fola Adeyeye of the Ondo State High Court is dead. The death was announced in a statement issued on Friday in Akure by the Chief Registrar of the State High Court, Mr Ayodeji Akinsanya. “It is with deep sorrow and profound grief that the Ondo State Judiciary announces the passing of Hon. Justice B. F. The Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Comrade Philip Shaibu, has called for the immediate prohibition of political and religious activities at the MKO Abiola National Stadium and other national stadiums across the country, warning that the continued use of sports facilities for non-sporting events is accelerating their deterioration. The Nigerian Senate has urged the Federal Government to establish a military base in Kwande Local Government Area to improve security and help displaced residents safely return to their communities. Lawmakers also called on security agencies to increase surveillance and carry out coordinated patrols and operations across affected communities to prevent further attacks. In particular, the Senate recommended setting up a military base along the Ikyurav–Ya–Ukusu corridor to ensure a consistent security presence in the troubled area.
