Anambra Govt arrests popular native doctor “Aka Mmuo”

Anambra State Government has arrested a popular Nnewi-based native doctor, De Young Chief Priest — known as “Aka Mmuo Mmiri Afulu Anya”, for alleged illegal practices. Security operatives arrested the suspect on Thursday, March 12, 2026. His arrest followed the crackdown on traditionalists and native doctors suspected of preparing charms for criminals in the state. According to the Anambra State Broadcasting Service (ABS), the suspect is currently being interrogated by authorities.  The government is yet to release full details of the allegations against the native doctor.

20 students rusticated for exam malpractice in Federal University Dutsin-Ma
