The Edo State Police Command has arrested three suspected kidnappers and k!lled one during a fierce gun duel in the Eguaholor forest axis of Uhunmwonde Local Government Area.  The spokesperson for the command, ASP Eno Ikoedem, who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, May 17, 2026 said the suspects, Bright Junior, from Agbor, Salisu Abubakar, from Kano and Momodu James, from Auchi, were linked to kidnapping and other violent crimes across the state. An accident involving a Honda vehicle and two commercial tricycles left many injured at the Federal Bus Stop along Ipaja Road in Lagos State. It was gathered that the crash occurred at about 8:50 a.m today, May 16. The Honda car, bearing registration number KTU 921 JY, reportedly crashed into two tricycles. Eyewitnesses said approximately 10 passengers suffered varying degrees of injuries as a result of the collision. According to reports, the driver of the Honda vehicle swerved while trying to avoid hitting a street sweeper attached to the Lagos Waste Management Authority, LAWMA. Witnesses allege that the driver still struck the sweeper before losing control of the vehicle, which reportedly crossed to the opposite lane and crashed into two commercial tricycles.&nb...

One of the kidnapped teachers of Community High School, Ahoro-Esinele in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, Michael Oyedokun, has been killed. Oyedokun was beheaded in a new video allegedly released by bandits on Sunday.
