A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the remand of Nigerian cryptocurrency entrepreneur, Linus Williams Ifejirika, widely known as Blord, at the Kuje Correctional Centre over allegations of impersonation involving social media critic, VeryDarkMan (VDM).
Blord was remanded on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, following his arraignment on multiple charges before the court.
According to reports, VDM shared a video on his Instagram page showing Blord being escorted from the court premises to the correctional facility. He stated that the charges against Blord include impersonation and forgery.
In his post, VDM alleged that Blord falsely used his identity to promote a business venture. He claimed that Blord forged flight tickets bearing his name, “Martins Otse,” and announced that he would attend a product launch in Onitsha. VDM further alleged that Blord falsely stated he paid him ₦500 million to serve as a brand ambassador and that he endorsed the Billpoint app.
Additionally, VDM accused Blord of printing billboards and promotional materials featuring his image without consent, insisting that all such claims are untrue.
Blord is expected to remain in custody for 26 days pending further court proceedings, which means he will spend the Easter period in detention.
