Crayon Reveals Tiwa Savage Introduced Him to ‘Backy’

Nigerian singer Crayon has opened up about how fellow artist Tiwa Savage introduced him to a substance known as “Backy” in 2018.

In a recent interview, Crayon explained that the encounter happened after Tiwa asked if he smoked. Upon confirming, he said she handed him the substance, which he claims marked the beginning of his use. He further admitted that the experience later led to an addiction.

The singer also disclosed that he had a strong admiration for Tiwa Savage at the time, describing her as his crush back in 2018.

Meanwhile, music producer Samklef has reacted to Crayon’s recent outbursts on social media, where the singer accused Don Jazzy and Mavin Records of sabotaging his career and contributing to personal struggles, including the loss of his mother.

Crayon had also threatened to bring down the record label in a series of posts. Responding, Samklef suggested that the situation might be linked to Don Jazzy’s recent association with social media activist VeryDarkMan, claiming it may have affected the progress of artists under the label.

He further questioned whether the developments could be a form of karma, adding that singer Ayra Starr appeared under pressure in her recent video.
