Anu Adeleke, who claims to be the daughter of Nigerian music star Davido, has publicly requested a DNA test to establish her true identity.
Naija News reports that Anu made the appeal on Thursday via her Instagram page, where she shared a photo of herself alongside a message about resuming school after the holidays and stepping into her teenage years.
In the post, she reflected on the values instilled in her by her mother and grandmother, including avoiding drugs, alcohol, negative influences and bad behaviour.
Anu also revealed that she has endured bullying at school from the age of six after telling classmates that her father is David Adeleke. She said the situation took an emotional toll on her and led her to seek medical help.
As she grows older, Anu explained that she wants clarity about her identity and therefore formally asked Davido to agree to a DNA test.
She described the request as a personal issue between herself and the singer and appealed to him to consider granting it. Anu also expressed gratitude to Nigerians who have shown her support, saying the test is necessary for her peace of mind.
Reports indicate that two DNA tests were previously conducted, both reportedly showing that Davido is not her biological father.
However, Anu’s mother has disputed those results, alleging they were manipulated and insisting that she was not given the opportunity for an independent DNA test.
