Bamidele Abiodun, wife of Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, has opened up about the deep emotional struggles she faced after losing her mother and later her son.
Speaking during an interview on The Morayo Show, she revealed that her journey through grief began with the sudden death of her mother at age 61, a loss that left her devastated and struggling to cope.
She explained that while she eventually found a way to move forward, the experience unknowingly prepared her for an even more painful tragedy.
In 2017, she lost her son, Gbenga, an event she described as the most difficult moment of her life. The loss left her feeling empty and disconnected, causing her to lose interest in life and struggle to find the strength to carry on.
According to her, it was the presence of her other children that ultimately gave her a reason to keep going despite the overwhelming grief.
