An influencer, aged 26, has tragically di£d after a breast enlargement operation.
Model and mother-of-one, Derleya Alves, suffered complications after the operation and di£d just eight days after surgery.
The fitness and lifestyle influencer from Brazil, who regularly shared content on Instagram, posted her last photo on social media on Saturday, Feb. 28, after telling fans she was recovering from the operation.
Derleya had her surgery on February 20, however immediately after the procedure she began to feel intense pain. Despite this, she was still posting on social media, sharing snaps of herself from her hospital bed as her mother helped her to get dressed.
Derleya captioned her post: “Mum getting me ready after my bath.” The model’s condition quickly worsened as doctors desperately tried to save her life.
Derleya underwent multiple tests and two further surgeries, during which her intestines were repaired and one of her ovaries were removed. Sadly, she di£d from complications in Marabá Municipal Hospital, northern Brazil.
Doctors investigated whether a possible congenital problem with Derleya’s intestines could have contributed to her de@th. So far, there is no suspicion of medical malpractice.
However, the authorities are waiting for the results of a detailed breakdown of her condition before confirming her exact cause of d£ath.
