
No fewer than 95 princes and princesses from the Fusengbuwa Ruling House in Ogun State have formally expressed interest in emerging as the next Awujale of Ijebuland.
The disclosure was made on Monday by the Olori Ebi of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, Otunba Jadiara Lateef Owoyemi, during the commencement of the nomination meeting held at Bisi Rodipe Hall, GRA, Ijebu-Ode.
Owoyemi explained that the names of candidates who successfully pass the initial screening stage would be forwarded to the Afobajes, who will then select one candidate as the next Awujale and submit the chosen name to the Ogun State Government for approval.
He added that any individual dissatisfied with the process is free to direct their complaints to the state government.
Also present at the meeting were other leaders of the ruling house, including the Deputy Olori Ebi, Otunba Ajidagba, and the Chairman, Chief Fassy Yusuf, among others.
