Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has expressed frustration over the flood of marriage proposals she has received after her phone number appeared on Facebook.
In a video shared on her Instagram, the actress revealed that despite multiple attempts to remove or change her number, she continues to wake up to thousands of messages from men claiming they want to marry her.
According to Nkechi, the messages come from men of all ages and locations, all introducing themselves and asking if she is single and ready for marriage. She described the situation as overwhelming, adding that blocking or archiving the messages no longer helps.
The actress clarified that although she is single, she is not actively looking for a husband and urged people to stop disturbing her. She also shared that she has received insults from some individuals who criticize her for being unmarried, but she asked to be left alone.
Nkechi explained that changing her phone number is difficult because it is linked to many important things. She revealed that her WhatsApp now holds over 5,000 unread messages from men who obtained her contact through Facebook.
Describing the situation as exhausting, Nkechi said she is tired of the constant calls and messages, noting that it is impossible for anyone to handle such pressure from so many people at once.
