Reality TV star Phyna had a tense confrontation with a police officer after her car was stopped on a Nigerian road.
The incident occurred mid-road, where Phyna questioned the legality of the stop, insisting that police officers should not randomly halt vehicles without following proper procedures.
Expressing surprise, she said she had never witnessed police stop cars in such a manner and argued that officers are required to park properly before conducting checks.
During the exchange, Phyna highlighted her status as a public figure and challenged the officer’s conduct, demanding an explanation for why she was being stopped. She repeatedly described the situation as wrong and unacceptable, calling for senior police authorities to confirm whether such actions were permitted.
The reality star also stated her intention to report the incident to police command officials and other senior contacts. She cautioned her driver against any physical engagement with the officers while continuing to voice her frustration over what she termed unprofessional behaviour.
She reportedly said:
“Oga, I am a celebrity! How dare you stop me and say what you said? In the middle of the road, Nigerian police will now just randomly stop cars? I’ve never heard of this in my life. Police are supposed to park and stop; you’re not allowed to stop like this.”
