Senator Natasha Affirms PDP Membership, Dismisses Defection Claims

Senator representing Kogi Central, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has reaffirmed her allegiance to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), urging Nigerians and party members to validate their membership.

The lawmaker disclosed via her verified social media accounts that she has completed her registration through the party’s electronic portal, encouraging others to follow suit.

Describing the PDP as the country’s most formidable opposition platform, she stressed the importance of active participation to strengthen democracy and promote inclusiveness.

“The PDP e-registration portal is now secure. I have validated my membership—do yours as well. The process is simple and seamless,” she stated.

Her move aligns with ongoing efforts by the party leadership to digitise its membership records and enhance grassroots engagement ahead of the next general elections.

Meanwhile, Akpoti-Uduaghan has also dismissed a viral video falsely linking her to a fraudulent investment scheme.

She warned the public to ignore the clip, describing it as manipulated content designed by scammers to mislead unsuspecting individuals.

In a statement shared online, the senator clarified that the video was doctored from a previous interview she granted to journalist Seun Okinbaloye, with portions altered to falsely suggest she was endorsing a fake investment platform.

She urged Nigerians to steer clear of any scheme associated with the video and remain cautious of online fraud.
