Brooklyn Beckham’s former wedding planner has expressed surprise over the reported fallout between the photographer and his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, stating that there was no sign of tension during the preparations for Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz.
Celebrity wedding planner Preston Bailey, who worked closely with the couple for almost a year, said his experience with Brooklyn contradicts recent claims surrounding the family dispute. According to Bailey, Brooklyn was calm, respectful, and actively involved throughout the wedding planning process.
Bailey described Brooklyn as a “kind and gentle” person who was hands-on with decisions and approvals, noting that there were no indications of conflict with his parents at the time. He also dismissed claims that Nicola Peltz was controlling, explaining that while options were presented to her, Brooklyn’s input was always essential and no decisions were made without his agreement. He added that the couple showed clear affection for each other and that he never observed any domineering behaviour.
The wedding planner, who has organised high-profile events for figures such as Donald and Melania Trump, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, said all his interactions with Brooklyn and Nicola were positive and professional. He worked mainly with the couple via Zoom and at the Peltz family home in Palm Beach, and had no direct contact with David or Victoria Beckham.
Bailey eventually withdrew from the wedding about 11 months into planning due to scheduling challenges but did organise the couple’s engagement party. He has previously described the Peltz family as warm and welcoming.
Brooklyn has since stated that he is not interested in reconciling with his parents, accusing them of several issues surrounding his wedding, including disagreements over the first dance, outfits, and legal matters.
Sources close to the Beckham family claim David and Victoria are deeply worried about their son and fear becoming estranged from him, while others suggest reconciliation may be unlikely unless circumstances change. The Beckhams have not publicly addressed the matter.
Despite the ongoing controversy, Bailey insists that during the wedding preparations, the environment was peaceful and cooperative, stressing that he never witnessed any tension.
