Tinubu Will Soon Discover Politicians’ Real Intentions – Dele Momodu

A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Dele Momodu, has said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu may soon begin to realise the true intentions of many politicians around him.

Momodu made the remark during an appearance on Sunday Politics on Channels Television.

According to him, several political figures who once aligned closely with the president are already moving in different directions. He cited the example of former Interior Minister Rauf Aregbesola, who was previously a close associate of Tinubu but has now joined the ADC.

Momodu also pointed to what he described as the increasing movement of lawmakers and political figures into the party, suggesting that shifts within Nigeria’s political landscape may soon become more evident.

While speaking on the programme, the veteran journalist predicted that the president may soon face political pressures as some individuals around him are primarily motivated by personal interests and expectations of political rewards.

Momodu argued that many politicians currently showing loyalty to the president are doing so in anticipation of benefits, warning that they could easily change direction if their expectations are not met.

He also referenced the political situation within the All Progressives Congress (APC), suggesting that the party may face a dilemma over whether to retain the same ticket arrangement ahead of future elections.

According to Momodu, in the coming months, Tinubu may begin to see the “true colours” of those around him as political interests continue to shift.
