Nigerian reality TV personality Phyna has had her Twitch account temporarily suspended after the platform flagged her content for breaching its Community Guidelines, citing sexual material.
Reports indicate that the suspension, which took effect on March 1, 2026, carries a one-day ban. During this period, she will be unable to livestream or access certain streaming-related features for about 24 hours.
The platform’s notice also stated that the infraction will remain on her account record until May 30, 2026. However, she has the option to appeal the decision or file a counter-notification under Twitch’s DMCA policy if she believes the action was taken in error.
In its message, Twitch informed her: “Your account has been temporarily suspended from streaming. You will not have access to some features related to streaming for the duration of your suspension.”
The sanction followed a livestream session she had planned with another influencer, which she labeled as 18+. The age restriction and the nature of the broadcast are believed to have influenced the platform’s decision to enforce the strike.
Phyna gained national recognition after emerging winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, themed “Level Up.” She clinched the title during the grand finale on October 2, 2022, walking away with prizes valued at approximately ₦100 million.
Prior to her rise to fame, she worked as a commercial model and later expanded her career into content creation, hype performance, fashion entrepreneurship, acting, and streaming.
