A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom, Ify Okafor, has accused actress Nancy Isime and former beauty queen Sylvia Nduka of allegedly being involved in the breakdown of her marriage to businessman Chinedu Nwobodo, the owner of Circa Lagos.
According to reports, Ify, who hails from Ogwashi-Uku in Delta State, made the claims in a detailed Facebook post in which she recounted what she described as repeated acts of infidelity by her former husband during their marriage.
She stated that some of the alleged affairs took place while they were still legally and traditionally married. In her account, she claimed that the purported relationships involving Nancy Isime and Sylvia Nduka caused her immense emotional pain, humiliation, and turmoil within her home.
Ify further alleged that persistent cheating, alongside violence and emotional pressure, gradually ruined the marriage and left her psychologically and emotionally exhausted.
She also claimed that her ex-husband’s conduct went beyond infidelity, alleging that she endured physical assaults, emotional abuse, threats, and controlling behaviour throughout the marriage, creating an unsafe and unstable environment for her.
In addition, Ify alleged that when she fell seriously ill last year, her former husband abandoned her and their three children. She explained that she repeatedly sought his assistance, not out of unwillingness to work, but because of her illness and the burden of caring for the children alone.
She added that whenever she and the children began to recover and regain stability, her ex-husband would allegedly resurface and disrupt their lives again, a pattern she claimed occurred both in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.
While in Nigeria, she further alleged that he often declined to provide financial support for the children or would agree to assist temporarily before stopping abruptly.
She shared several posts online to support her claims.
