The Nigeria national football team will kick off their Unity Cup campaign with a match against Zimbabwe national football team on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

The encounter will be held at The Valley, the home ground of Charlton Athletic. The Super Eagles enter the competition as defending champions, having defeated Jamaica national football team 5-4 on penalties in the previous edition after a 2-2 draw in regulation time.

In the other semi-final, Jamaica will face India national football team a day later at the same venue. The third-place match and the final are both scheduled for Saturday, May 30, also at The Valley.

Super Falcons to Face Cape Verde in Friendlies

Meanwhile, the Nigeria women’s national football team are set for two international friendly matches against Cape Verde women’s national football team. The fixtures will take place at Remo Stars Stadium in Ogun State on Wednesday, April 15, and Saturday, April 18.

The matches are part of preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco. Nigeria had the upper hand in their previous meetings during the 2023 qualifiers, securing a 2-1 away victory before sealing qualification with a dominant 5-0 win at home.

The Super Falcons are expected to open camp in Abuja this weekend as they intensify preparations for both the friendlies and the upcoming continental tournament.
