US military announces seventh soldier has d!ed from Iran conflict

A seventh US service member has died from injuries sustained during the ongoing military conflict involving the United States, Israel and Iran, according to US Central Command.

The command confirmed that the soldier died from wounds suffered during an attack on US troops in Saudi Arabia on March 1. In a statement posted on X, US Central Command said the service member had been seriously injured at the scene of the attack and later died from those injuries.

The death brings the number of American personnel killed during Operation Epic Fury to seven, as major combat operations in the region continue. The conflict began on February 28 when the United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes against targets in Iran, escalating tensions across the Middle East.

On Saturday, the bodies of the first six US service members killed during the operation were returned to the United States. The war has also caused significant civilian casualties. Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations, Amir Saeid Iravani, said that at least 1,332 Iranian civilians, including women and children, have been killed since the strikes began.

Thousands more people have reportedly been injured in the attacks, though independent verification of the figures remains difficult due to the ongoing conflict. The fighting has expanded beyond Iran’s borders, with attacks and retaliatory strikes reported across several countries in the region, raising fears of a wider Middle East war.
