The cancer survivor at the center of the controversy involving Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has broken her silence after her family threatened legal action.
Mrs. Deborah Mbara, Creative Director of Zazi Beauty, shared how Blessing allegedly gained her trust to access her medical report. According to Deborah, Blessing called her in distress, claiming to be fearful for her life, and requested her cancer report for comparison. Believing her to be sincere, Deborah said she sent the document—only to later discover it circulating online with Blessing’s name attached.
Deborah also presented evidence to counter Blessing’s claims that they had never met. She shared a video—originally posted by Blessing—showing them together in Asaba, where she had done Blessing’s makeup the previous year.
This contradicts Blessing’s earlier statement during an appearance on Arise TV, where she denied knowing Deborah or her brother, who had publicly accused her of using the report without permission.
Further addressing the situation, Deborah claimed that Blessing recently visited Asaba to plead with her family after they threatened to take legal action. She said her husband told Blessing she would be forgiven only if she publicly admitted the truth on social media.
However, according to Deborah, Blessing failed to do so and instead deactivated her Instagram account.
Expressing her outrage, Deborah described the alleged act as deeply wrong, calling it “evil,” “wicked,” and “demonic.”
