President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Thursday officially submitted his Expression of Interest and Nomination forms to the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The documents were submitted at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by Vice President Kashim Shettima.
Earlier on Tuesday, House of Representatives member James Faleke had collected the nomination forms on Tinubu’s behalf at the party’s national headquarters following the payment of N100 million to the APC.
The forms were handed over to Faleke by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu, shortly after the party began the sale of forms for presidential aspirants.
Tinubu’s submission of the forms confirms his intention to seek a second term in office in the 2027 general election.
Speaking during the submission process, APC National Publicity Secretary Felix Morka stated that the president’s decision to contest again reflects confidence in his administration’s performance.
