Eniola Badmus Responds After Funke Akindele Jokes She Uses Government Funds for Jewellery, Bags

Nollywood actress Eniola Badmus has addressed claims from fellow actress Funke Akindele suggesting that she uses government funds to purchase jewellery and designer bags.

Badmus, who serves as Special Assistant on Social Events and Public Hearing to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, responded to the viral video in which Akindele jokingly accused her of spending government money on luxury items.

Clarifying her position, Badmus insisted that her wealth is entirely from her personal earnings and not from any government source. She added that all the jewellery and bags she wears are locally made and bought with her own money.

Funke Akindele had said, “You used all the government money to buy jewellery.”

Eniola Badmus replied, “Your money isn’t in my hands o, please. I don’t know what you’re talking about. Everything I’m wearing is locally made. I used my own money to buy them.”

In related entertainment news, Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo, popularly known as Omoborty, criticized actors who fail to support film promotions after starring in them. Sharing her views on Instagram, Okeowo called such behavior unfair, highlighting that it disregards the effort and resources invested by producers.
