Nigerian businessman and socialite Obi Cubana has reportedly deleted all Instagram posts connected to the City Boy Movement, a group known for supporting President Bola Tinubu.
The move comes amid growing criticism from some Nigerians over his association with the Tinubu-led administration.
Naija News recalls that Obi Cubana was previously named the South-East Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, a youth-oriented political advocacy group established to promote the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
At the time of filing this report, the businessman had not released any official statement regarding the removal of the posts.
Obi Cubana has recently faced backlash on social media following his visible involvement with the pro-Tinubu organisation. His role within the movement generated mixed reactions online, particularly from critics of the current government.
The deleted posts were reportedly linked to his participation in the activities and campaigns of the group.
Checks on his Instagram page showed no trace of posts related to the City Boy Movement as of the time this report was filed.
However, it remains uncertain whether the action signals his exit from the organisation or was simply a personal decision to reorganise his social media content.
The City Boy Movement is described as a youth-focused civic and political advocacy platform aimed at promoting President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda and mobilising grassroots support nationwide.
Reports indicate that the group engages in outreach programmes such as campus tours, rallies, food drives, and the distribution of cash support and relief materials to vulnerable Nigerians.
Despite the growing public reactions, Obi Cubana has yet to publicly comment on the reported deletion of the posts.
