Tinubu Has Lost Control over Insecurity in Nigeria– Baba-Ahmed

The National Chairman of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, has stated that President Bola Tinubu has lost control over Nigeria’s worsening insecurity situation.

According to him, the President’s response to the growing security challenges is inadequate and could eventually lead to public rejection if urgent steps are not taken.

Speaking during an interview on Arise News on Thursday, Baba-Ahmed described the country’s security environment as rapidly deteriorating, with kidnappings and violent attacks now occurring across different regions.

He argued that no part of the country is currently safe, stressing that the abduction of schoolchildren highlights how severe the crisis has become.

Baba-Ahmed also criticised the government’s attitude toward the situation, alleging that it is being treated as though it were normal or manageable, despite its escalation.

He further accused the administration of failing in its primary responsibility of protecting lives and property, saying insecurity has now become nationwide.

Warning of possible further deterioration, he said the country risks increased criminal activity if urgent action is not taken before the next election period.

The PRP chairman maintained that his party’s call for the President’s resignation was based on concern over security rather than political opposition, insisting that Nigerians are already losing confidence in the government’s handling of the crisis.
