Nigerian disc jockey and media personality DJ Cuppy, born Florence Otedola, has opened up about her views on relationships, revealing why she feels marrying a Nigerian may not be an option for her.
Speaking during a recent podcast appearance, Cuppy recounted an experience with a former partner who appeared more interested in meeting her father than building a relationship with her. According to the entertainer, the situation left her questioning the intentions of some men she has dated.
She explained that her father, billionaire businessman Femi Otedola, is not concerned about who she eventually marries, but simply hopes to see her settle down.
Cuppy also expressed happiness for her sister, Temi Otedola, and her partner, Mr Eazi.
The DJ has previously spoken candidly about her search for love, revealing that she has dated men from different backgrounds and has sometimes felt taken advantage of because of her openness and desire for a meaningful relationship. She noted that she is now learning to approach relationships with fewer expectations and a more relaxed mindset.
Over the years, Cuppy has frequently shared updates about her love life, particularly following the end of her engagement to British boxer Ryan Taylor. From humorous reflections on being single to discussions about potential suitors, the entertainer has remained transparent about her journey toward finding a life partner.
