Morayo Brown Reveals She Left Harvesters Church, After The Minister She Was Dating Broke Up With Her

Television host Morayo Afolabi Brown has opened up about the circumstances that led to her departure from Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), disclosing that a failed relationship with a fellow church minister influenced her decision.

Speaking during an episode of The Morayo Show featuring Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the media personality reflected on her time at the church, describing Harvesters as the first congregation she joined after returning to Nigeria.

Morayo explained that she was actively involved in church activities and served as the head usher. During that period, she was in a relationship with another minister in the church, with whom she worked closely in ministry.

According to her, the relationship eventually ended, leaving her heartbroken and making it difficult for her to continue worshipping and serving in the same environment.

She disclosed that despite efforts by church leaders, including Pastor Bolaji Idowu, to persuade her to remain in the church, she ultimately decided to leave following the breakup.

Recalling the experience, Morayo said she and her former partner attended ministers’ meetings together before the relationship came to an end. However, after the separation, she felt it was best to move on from the church.

“Many people may not know that Harvesters International was the first church I attended when I returned to Nigeria. I served as the head usher there and eventually left because of a relationship that ended.

“I was dating a minister in the church, and we were both actively involved in ministry. When the relationship ended, Pastor Bolaji encouraged me to stay, but I chose to leave. We were both ministers in the church at the time, and I felt it was the right decision for me,” she said.
