Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay has reacted to viral videos and rumours circulating online claiming she has reconciled with her former husband, music star 2Baba.
The speculation followed the resurfacing of an old video in which Annie spoke about her personal healing journey. In the clip, she reflected on love, self-worth, and the importance of being valued, saying many people remain in places where they are merely tolerated instead of celebrated.
At the same time, unverified reports on social media claimed Annie had reunited with 2Baba. Another viral video, whose authenticity has not been confirmed, allegedly showed her speaking about finding her way back to her former husband after being misled.
Responding to the growing rumours, Annie took to her Instagram Story to dismiss the claims, expressing frustration over the spread of misleading content.
“Old videos circulating everywhere. False news everywhere,” she wrote.
Annie and 2Baba ended their marriage after the singer announced their separation in January last year. Since then, 2Baba has reportedly moved on with Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru.
Following the breakup, Annie publicly embraced a fresh start. At the Headies Awards, she reintroduced herself as Annie Macaulay, dropping the Idibia surname and declaring that she was single.
She also wiped her Instagram page clean before later returning with a heartfelt message thanking her family, friends, and supporters for standing by her during one of the most difficult periods of her life.
Over the past year, the actress has shared several reflective posts about healing, self-worth, and personal growth. She has expressed hope that her daughters will always know their value, encouraged moving forward without dwelling on the past, and repeatedly said she is enjoying her peace of mind.
