The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has announced Grace Oluwatobi Coker as its deputy governorship candidate for the 2027 Lagos State governorship election.
Coker will serve as the running mate to the party’s governorship flagbearer, Prince Laja Adeoye, as both candidates prepare to contest the state’s top political office.
Reacting to her nomination on Saturday, Coker described the opportunity as a great honour and responsibility. She expressed gratitude to God, the APM leadership, party members, supporters, and Lagos residents for the confidence placed in her.
She also thanked Prince Adeoye for choosing her as his running mate, describing him as her leader, mentor, and principal. Coker pledged to work closely with him to advance the party’s vision for Lagos State.
The deputy governorship candidate reaffirmed her commitment to supporting Adeoye’s campaign and helping the APM secure victory in the 2027 governorship election.
She further acknowledged the efforts of the party’s leadership at the national, state, local government, ward, and polling unit levels, as well as other stakeholders and candidates, for their encouragement and unwavering support.
Coker also commended members of the campaign team, volunteers, and supporters for their dedication, sacrifices, and prayers, noting that their contributions would play a crucial role in the party’s success.
She extended appreciation to her family, friends, and associates for their steadfast support throughout her political journey.
The APM deputy governorship candidate also thanked the people of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Area, her home constituency, along with residents across Lagos State, for their trust and support, assuring them that she would not take their confidence for granted.
Reaffirming her loyalty to the party, Coker vowed to work hand in hand with Prince Adeoye and the APM leadership to achieve victory in the 2027 elections.
According to her, the APM is presenting Lagosians with “a new direction anchored on purposeful leadership, accountability, inclusion, and sustainable development.” She also prayed for divine wisdom and guidance as the party intensifies preparations for the 2027 general elections.
