ADC Denies Reports of David Mark’s Resignation as National Chairman

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has refuted claims that Senator David Mark has stepped down as the party’s National Chairman.

In a statement released by the chairman’s media office, the party described the report as a deliberate fabrication, blaming it on what it called “weak and inconsiderate propagandists.”

The ADC firmly stated that Mark remains the party’s substantive National Chairman, adding that there are no plans or discussions بشأن his resignation within the leadership.

Reports circulating on social media had alleged that Mark had resigned, with Ralph Nwosu expected to take over ahead of the party’s convention. However, the ADC dismissed the claims as false and malicious.

The party reiterated its commitment to winning upcoming elections, stressing that such rumours are attempts to create confusion and destabilize its structure.

According to the statement, the ADC leadership remains united and focused on strengthening democratic values while offering credible leadership to Nigerians.

It also warned against efforts to undermine the party, attributing such actions to fears over its rising influence ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The ADC concluded by urging Nigerians to ignore the rumours and remain confident in the party’s stability and leadership.
