
Popular Nigerian sports broadcaster, Temisan Okomi, has passed away following a short illness.
His employer, Classic FM, confirmed the sad news in a statement shared on social media on Friday, April 17. The station expressed deep sorrow over his death, describing him as a dedicated professional and a valued member of the team.
According to the statement, Okomi served as the Group Head of the Sports Department until his passing, and his contributions, commitment, and presence will be greatly missed. The management also extended condolences to his family during this difficult time.
Before venturing into broadcasting, Okomi studied Agronomy and Crop Science at the University of Uyo.
He is survived by his wife, Veronica, and their three sons.
