Assassination Attempt: Why Trump Says People Want Him Dead {VIDEO}

U.S. President Donald Trump has spoken about what he believes is behind repeated threats to his life.

According to Naija News, Trump made the remarks while reacting to a recent shooting incident that disrupted a media event in Washington.

The incident occurred on April 25, 2026, during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner at the Washington Hilton, where a gunman sparked panic and forced security operatives to quickly take control, abruptly ending the event.

Reacting afterward, Trump said he believes individuals who bring major changes often become targets of attacks. He suggested that his policies and decisions have significantly impacted the country, making him unpopular with some groups.

He also drew comparisons with historical figures who, in his view, were targeted because of their influence and reforms.

Referring to a previous incident during his 2024 campaign, where he survived an assassination attempt, Trump said he continues to live without fear despite the risks associated with his position.

He added: “I’ve studied assassinations. The most impactful people, the ones that do the most, they’re the ones they go after… I’ve done a lot. We’ve changed this country, and there are a lot of people that are not happy about that. I lead a pretty normal life considering it’s a dangerous life.”
