Lagos businessman Emeka Okonkwo, popularly known as E-Money, has affirmed that he will fulfil his ₦50 million promise to Carter Efe following his win against Portable.
The pledge was confirmed after Carter Efe secured a unanimous decision victory over Portable at the “Chaos in the Ring 4” event held at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Speaking after the fight, E-Money congratulated the comedian and reiterated his commitment to the reward.
“You know we stand by our words. Congratulations, Carter, ₦50 million is yours,” he said.
Also reacting, Balmoral Group Promotions CEO Ezekiel Adamu praised the event, stating it delivered on its promise of excitement and entertainment, while hinting at more editions to come.
The bout capped weeks of heated exchanges between the two entertainers. Portable, who previously defeated Charles Okocha and Speed Darlington, had entered the ring confident of claiming another belt.
However, Carter Efe dominated the fight, using his height and reach advantage to outbox the singer. While Portable threw wild punches and clinched repeatedly, Efe landed cleaner and more effective combinations across all three rounds.
With all three judges scoring the fight 27–30, Carter Efe was crowned the new celebrity boxing champion.
