Nigerian singer Portable has announced the arrival of a baby boy with his partner, Omobewaji Ewatomi, popularly known as Bewaji.
The news was first shared by Bewaji on Instagram, where she expressed gratitude for a safe delivery and introduced their newborn son, Jamal Iremide. Portable later confirmed the development on his own page, appreciating his partner and celebrating the new addition to his family.
The child’s birth came on the same day Portable suffered defeat in a celebrity boxing match against Carter Efe, who won by unanimous decision.
Despite the loss in the ring, the singer expressed greater joy over the birth of his son, noting that the moment meant more to him than winning a title. He revealed that his wife went into labour while he was still participating in the fight, describing the experience as special.
In his reaction, Portable appreciated Bewaji for the gift of their child, adding that while belts can be acquired, a child is priceless and far more valuable.
