Luis Enrique has once again expressed strong belief in Paris Saint-Germain following their recent clash with Bayern Munich, insisting that no team currently surpasses his side in quality and mentality.
The Spanish tactician made the remarks after Wednesday’s highly anticipated encounter, standing by the bold statement he made earlier during the group stage of the competition. Despite criticism from doubters, Enrique maintained that PSG have proven their strength throughout the tournament.
Speaking to reporters, Fabrizio Romano quoted Enrique as saying:
“Do I believe we can win the final? Yes.
“Do you remember what I said after the group stage?
“I said I don’t see any team being better than we are. Critics claimed PSG were not that impressive, but I believe I was right.
“Bayern are on our level, while Arsenal have been one of the strongest teams this season. They’ve had an outstanding campaign and are still fighting for the Premier League title.
“They are in the final, but I trust my team and it’s important to emphasize that.
“Over the last three years, we have shown that we are ready to face any opponent. This is a team people can rely on because we always fight.”
