
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has officially obtained his payment receipt for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development was announced by the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in a post shared on its official 𝕏 account on Saturday.
According to the party, payment for the ₦90 million presidential nomination form was completed on May 8, 2026.
Atiku, who is a prominent member of the ADC, is among the aspirants seeking the party’s presidential ticket for the 2027 election.
In its statement, the party described the move as another important step in Nigeria’s evolving democratic process and growing calls for national renewal.
The ADC stated that the formal presentation of the nomination forms is expected to take place on Monday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
The party also reiterated its commitment to promoting unity, economic recovery, security, competent leadership and national development as Nigerians continue to seek alternative political platforms.
Reports also indicate that former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and presidential aspirant, Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, have equally obtained the party’s nomination forms ahead of the race.
