Nollywood actor Williams Uchemba has shared an emotional reaction to the passing of fellow actor Alex Ekubo, describing his death as a transition rather than a final goodbye.
In a heartfelt message posted on Instagram, Uchemba expressed his belief that Alex Ekubo belonged to Jesus and had returned to his creator. He noted that the most significant phase in a person’s life is the final years spent on earth and said he was glad the late actor dedicated his last moments to drawing closer to God.
Uchemba also expressed hope that they would reunite someday, adding a humorous note asking Ekubo to greet his late mother in heaven.
Despite the pain of losing his friend, the actor said he would not shed tears because Ekubo had escaped the troubles and struggles of the world.
In his words, he wrote that death is not the end because “we only transition,” adding that Alex had now gone to rest with his maker. He also jokingly referenced heaven, his late mother, and King Solomon while celebrating the late actor’s memory with warmth and humour.
The emotional tribute has since stirred reactions from fans and colleagues across social media, with many offering condolences and prayers for the late actor.
